BIONIX is a bioinsecticide containing Bacillus thurigiensis subsp. kurstakii, gram + bacteria. During the sporulation process, protein-protoxin is produced, in the form of crystals, which represent the active substance of the preparation.

By feeding protoxin into the midgut of young larvae, it is activated in the form of delta endotoxin, which results in the disruption of the intestinal epithelium. Protoxin activation occurs at high pH values (above 9.5), which enables high selectivity of the preparation for non-target organisms.
Immediately after ingestion of delta endotoxin, the larva’s intestinal tract becomes paralyzed and feeding ceases, thus ending the possibility of crop damage. General paralysis and disruption of the intestinal epithelium with septicemia occur in 48-72 hours, which leads to a fatal outcome.
Apply the preparation immediately before hatching and during hatching of larvae of the L1 stage, when it exhibits the highest efficiency. Depending on the climatic conditions, the treatment can be repeated in 5-7 days.
GROWN PLANT | PATHOGEN | CONCENTRATION | TIME OF APPLICATION |
APPLE | Cydia pomonella) | 1 – 1.5% | At the beginning of the sawing of the first larvae. Repeat every 5 – 7 days, 2 – 3 times. |
VINE | Gray grape moth (Lobesia botrana) | 1 – 1.5% | At the beginning of the sawing of the first larvae. Repeat every 5 – 7 days, 2 – 3 times. |
BIONIX has high selectivity towards bees and other pollinators, so it is recommended in integral protection measures and organic agriculture. It exhibits high toxicity towards the young larval stages of insects from the orders Lepidoptera, Coleoptera and Diptera.
In the EU countries, it is recommended for the control of insects from the order Coleoptera – potato beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata), Lepidoptera-corn beetle (Ostrinia nubilalis), cabbage moth (Plutella xylostella ), owls (Spodoptera sp., Heliothis sp.), cotton owls (Helicoverpa sp.) and cabbage moths (Pieris sp.), plum moth (Cydia funebrana) and peach moth (Anarsia lineatella), peach moth (Cydia molesta ), and in the control of the South American tomato moth (Tuta absoluta).
