Erwix – a natural bio fungicide and bio bactericide is intended for the control of phytopathogenic bacteria and fungi. Erwix contains the saprophytic bacterium Bacillus subtilis. This bacterium belongs to the group of safe, harmless bacteria for the environment and humans (GRAS – General Recognized As Safety).

Erwix is not toxic to bees and has no waiting period. It is recommended for organic and conventional agricultural production.

B.subtilis forms a biofilm that colonizes the plant surface. Competition between B.subtilis and phytopathogens: for binding sites on the plant surface and nutrients (food) prevents the formation of biofilm or binding of phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria on the plant surface.

In this way, Erwiks reduces the number and virulence of phytopathogenic organisms and protects the plant from pathogens. Surfactin, which has a fungicidal and bactericidal action, directly prevents plant infection.

Erwix contains:

  1. Antimicrobial metabolites – Sufractin which prevents the development of phytopathogens and has direct antibacterial and antifungal action. Surfactin is a biosurfactant that promotes the binding of bacteria to the surface of plants by reducing the surface tension between the surface of the plant (leaves, flowers, roots, trees) and the aqueous phase in which the bacteria are located. The bacterium Bacillus subtilis thus spread over the surface of the plant and colonizes it (inhabits it).
  2. Auxins (Indole-3-Acetic acid) which increase the content of nutrients on the plant surface (sugars, amino acids, amino sugars) and stimulate the survival and reproduction of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis on the plant.

Erwix application:

1. To control Erwinia amylovora

Before opening the flowers, in full bloom, in bloom, during the vegetation after the hail, spray with Erwix within 24 hours. Application rate: 0.5 – 1% or 5 – 10 l / ha with water consumption of 1000 l / ha;

2. To control Xanthomonas sp.

From the phenophase when the first fruit reaches its typical size. Application rate: 1 – 2% with water consumption of 300 – 400 l / ha

3. To control Botrytis cinerea

From flowering to phenophase, the beginning of ripening. Application rate: 5 – 10 l / ha with water consumption of 600 – 1000 l / ha;

4. For control – Verticillium sp. and Fusarium sp.

Soil treatment immediately after transplanting and in the phase of intensive plant growth 3 to 4 times. Amount of application: 1 – 2 ml / m2

The effects of Erwix applications are reflected in the following:

  • It is effective in suppressing phytopathogenic bacteria.
  • Increases plant resistance.
  • There is no resistance.
  • There is no waiting period.
  • Safe to use
  • Safe for the environment.
